Turks & Caicos

June 29, 2022

Last week, I was lucky enough to get selected to attend a Familiarization Trip aka ‘FAM Trip’ to the breathtaking Turks & Caicos. The purpose of the FAM trip is to educate and immerse travel advisors in a destination so that we are able to connect the right clients to the right destination. From a travel advisor’s perspective, it is priceless to be able to gain first hand experience of a destination, its hotels and top attractions so that we can customize our client’s trips accordingly. Most of the time, we are in meetings, networking with local businesses and conducting site tours of as many hotels as possible.

Now, it is not all work and no play…we also get to have some amazing first hand experiences while in the destination. For instance, a private beach front dinner with a 5 course meal and perfectly paired wines is something that I am able to coordinate for my clients. We got to experience this (pictured above) and it was spectacular!

I also got to snorkel the 3rd largest barrier reef…with stunning coral formations and lots of marine life…we even spotted a few barracudas as well as a shark . Afterwards, we went to a private island where we could swim (without sharks) and relax ️

Let me tell you, it is moments like these that you will remember long after your travels.

THE PALMS TURKS & CAICOS

My stay at The Palms Turks & Caicos was so fantastic, that I keep dreaming about it back home…now that is the sign of an amazing hotel!

I fell in love with the garden-like atmosphere of this boutique hotel. It felt authentic to the Turks & Caicos island and it doesn’t hurt that it is situated on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, Grace Bay Beach.

Grace Bay Beach is 7.5 miles of gorgeous, white sand coupled with the crystal clear turquoise ocean water…it really is worthy of all the hype!

The spacious rooms at The Palms Turks & Caicos are meticulously decorated and recently underwent a $6.5 million refresh. Most suites feature full kitchens with Viking appliances and a washer and dryer which is fantastic for families or longer stays.

The resort offers 3 onsite restaurants, an infinity-edge pool overlooking the ocean, a world class spa, tennis courts, gym, kid’s club and access to kayaks, paddleboarding and hobby cats.

If you book a stay at The Palms through me, you will also get the following added benefits:

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability (excludes upgrades from Junior Suite category)

  • Full American Breakfast daily for all guests served at The Garden from 7:00am – 10:30am

  • $100 USD Equivalent Resort/Hotel credit, to be utilized during stay (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)

  • Early check-in/late check-out, subject to availability

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
